This is my local beach, Crackington Haven. You'll get familiar with the distinctive pyramid-shaped headland called Cambeak as it often features in the background of my pictures. The quartz-veined and jagged bedrocks will too—variable in their visibility according to how much sand the tides have deposited or stripped away.

Evening beach scene looking out over the sea, a golden slither of evening light illuminates the incoming tide forming shallow aprons on the sand closest to us. The headland and rocks are silhouetted on the left (a sea angler is just visible, casting from a scary-looking distant spot on the rocks) and a mass of gathering uplit clouds above the golden area of sky look forebodingly dark.
